A Revision of the Neotropical Orb‐Weaving Spider Genus Scoloderus (Araneae: Araneidae)
Psyche: A Journal of Entomology, Volume 102, Issue 1-2, Page 49-72, 1995., 1995 More than one‐fourth of the spiders examined for this revision were collected since the neotropical genus Scoloderus was revised in 1976. Thirteen names have been proposed for what appear to be five valid species (Scoloderus cordatus, S. gibber, S. nigriceps, S. tuberculifer, and S. ackerlyi).

A Taxonomic Revision of the Orb Weaver Genus Acacesia (Araneae: Araneidae)
Psyche: A Journal of Entomology, Volume 101, Issue 1-2, Page 59-84, 1994., 1994 There are five species of Acacesia which range collectively from southern North America to Argentina. Two are previously known members of the genus. A. cornigera Petrunkevitch and A. hamata (Hentz). Three of these are new species: A. villalobosi and A. yacuiensis, fom southern Brazil, and A. benigna from Bolivia and Peru.

Addition of juçara does not impact acceptance but evokes positive emotions. Background Nonconventional edible plants (NCEP) present great socioeconomic, nutritional and sustainability importance.
