Clinical and genetic characterization of intellectual disability
This study examines the etiological factors and comorbidities in a large cohort of Finnish patients with intellectual disability. Genetic causes—including chromosomal abnormalities and pathogenic gene variants—were more frequently identified in individuals with moderate to profound intellectual disability.

Summary Air embolism is rare in horses and typically associated with complications following intravenous catheterisation or other medical procedures. Exercise‐induced pulmonary haemorrhage (EIPH) is common in racehorses but not usually associated with air embolism. Human RNase 7 is known to exert antimicrobial activity in epithelial tissues. Here, using SH‐SY5Y and U‐87 MG, neuroblastoma and glioblastoma cell lines, respectively, we found that RNase 7 enhances immune responses to LPS stimulation by reducing the expression of pro‐inflammatory cytokines, nitric oxide, and ROS.
