The Enchytraeidae are an abundant and widespread group of Oligochaetes; most species are terrestrial but a few are commonly found in freshwater, some are confined to or are most abundant in wet peatlands and bogs and a number are marine and littoral.

Associations of Enchytraeidae (Oligochaeta) in Experimentally Fertilized Grasslands

(1) The enchytraeids in forty grassland fertilizer plots of different ages were identified. (2) Two plots were extremely acid owing to the continuous application of ammonium sulphate and only a few Marionina clavata survived this treatment. Two other plots were anomolous.

Enchytraeidae of the Netherlands (Annelida; Oligochaeta)

This paper presents a preliminary check list of 46 species of Enchytraeidae hitherto found in the Netherlands. With the exception of Enchytraeus albidus and Hemifridericia parva, these species are recorded from the Netherlands for the first time.
