Current status of liver transplantation for non‐B non‐C liver cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma
Recently, the cases of LT for non‐B non‐C cirrhosis and HCC have been increasing in Japan as well as worldwide. Perioperative management of non‐B non‐C liver disease is problematic due to various risk factors, including alcohol consumption and metabolic syndrome‐related risks, such as obesity and diabetes mellitus.

Targeting KMT5C Suppresses Lung Cancer Progression and Enhances the Efficacy of Immunotherapy
This study reveals that KMT5C activates DNA damage repair to inhibit STING‐IRF3 pathway, downstream type I IFN signaling and CCL5 secretion, leading to the downregulation of CD8+ T cell infiltration and function in NSCLC, ultimately facilitating tumor progression.

A Novel Data-Driven Framework for Risk Characterization and Prediction from Electronic Medical Records: A Case Study of Renal Failure [PDF]
Electronic medical records (EMR) contain longitudinal information about patients that can be used to analyze outcomes. Typically, studies on EMR data have worked with established variables that have already been acknowledged to be associated with certain outcomes. However, EMR data may also contain hitherto unrecognized factors for risk association and

NF2 is Essential for Human Endoderm Development
This study demonstrates that NF2, moesin‐ezrin‐radixin like (MERLIN) tumor suppressor (NF2) is essential for human endoderm formation. NF2 knockout human induced pluripotent stem cells fail to form endoderm both in vitro and in vivo due to yes‐associated protein 1 (YAP1) nuclear translocation, redirecting differentiation toward myofibroblast‐like cells.
