End conditions for interpolatory sextic splines†

International Journal of Computer Mathematics, 2005
In this paper a sextic spline is defined for interpolation at equally spaced knots along with the end conditions required to complete the definition of the spline. These conditions are in terms of given functional values at the knots and lead to uniform convergence of O(h 7) throughout the interval of interpolation.

Estimating end-to-end delays under changing conditions

Proceedings of the 8th ACM MobiCom workshop on Challenged networks, 2013
We consider the problem of estimating the end-to-end latency of intermittently connected paths in disruption/delay tolerant networks. This is useful when performing source routing, in which a complete path is chosen for a packet to travel from source to destination (when intermediate nodes are really low complexity devices that can only forward packets

End-to-End Deep Conditional Imitation Learning for Autonomous Driving

2019 31st International Conference on Microelectronics (ICM), 2019
Autonomous urban driving has a been rising problem since decades because of interactions with very complex environment. The traditional modular pipeline, rule-based algorithms, has not presented yet an efficient model to rely on, because it can not cover the very large possible scenarios space.

Condition monitoring - a means to an end

IEE Seminar Condition Monitoring for Rail Transport Systems, 1998
Early condition monitoring systems for trains provided a relatively small range of information, were unreliable and of relatively limited value. Modern systems are becoming increasingly more complex but have a potentially greater capability to be of direct assistance to the operators and maintainers.

Relief of symptoms in end-stage neurological conditions

British Journal of Hospital Medicine, 2007
Effective multidisciplinary team working is essential to manage neurological symptoms as end of life approaches. Coordination of care ensures timely input of specialist therapies, pharmacological measures and occasionally invasive techniques including surgery. This can impact not only on function but also aid passive care and comfort.
