Back to the Future: Labour and the Politics of Financial Deregulation

This also applies to the financial sector, where in recent months regulators have been asked to reflect on how rule changes could contribute to competitiveness and growth. A flurry of deregulatory initiatives has resulted from this.

Gender &History, EarlyView.Abstract This article explores the representation of suicide committed for love in English popular print in the seventeenth and early eighteenth centuries. It shows how, within ballads and pamphlets, suicide resulting from failed courtship was often portrayed as romantic and an expression of devotion.
