Notes on Hybridization in Leaf frogs of the Genus Agalychnis (Anura, Hylidae, Phyllomedusinae) [PDF]
Two species of Endangered Leaf frogs, Agalychnis moreletii and Agalychnis annae, belonging to the tree frog Subfamily Phyllomedusinae, Genus Agalychnis, were hybridized for the first time whilst being maintained in captivity. Previous to this, these allopatric Central American species were considered as being distinctly separate.

Alien plants in urban nature reserves : from red-list species to future invaders? [PDF]
Urban reserves, like other protected areas, aim to preserve species richness but conservation efforts in these protected areas are complicated by high proportions of alien species.

Mobile Phone Based Portable Field Sensor System for Real-Time In-situ River Water Quality Monitoring During Endangered Dolphin Monitoring Surveys [PDF]
Mobile phone based potable water quality assessment device is developed to analyze and study water pollution level at Indus river. Indus river is habitat of endangered Indus river dolphin and water pollution is one of major causes of survivability threats for this specie. We tested device performance at the six locations of Lahore canal.

Spatial Scales of Population Synchrony generally increases as fluctuations propagate in a Two Species Ecosystem [PDF]
The spatial scale of population synchrony gives the characteristic distance at which the population fluctuations are correlated. Therefore, it gives also the characteristic size of the regions of simultaneous population depletion, or even extinction.

An Exploration into the Ethics of Cloning Endangered Species [PDF]
Researchers are cloning endangered species, expanding the debate on human cloning to include both the value of evolution and the question of whether ethical issues affecting endangered species should be defined in terms of human medical benefit.

Development of molecular identification methods for Dryophytes suweonensis and D. japonicus, and their hybrids [PDF]
Background As hybridization can reduce biodiversity or cause extinction, it is important to identify both purebred parental species and their hybrids prior to conserving them. The Suwon tree frog, Dryophytes suweonensis, is an endangered wildlife species
