Development and External Validation of an Efficient Deep Learning Model for Lesion Segmentation and Subtyping of Hepatic Echinococcosis in Ultrasound Imaging

open access: yesHealth Care Science, EarlyView.
We developed a lightweight deep learning framework that integrates frequency‐ and spatial‐domain ultrasound features with segmentation‐assisted classification for hepatic echinococcosis diagnosis. The model outperformed existing state‐of‐the‐art methods in both accuracy and inference speed while requiring substantially fewer computational resources ...

Isorhamnetin Attenuates Isoproterenol-Induced Myocardial Injury by Reducing ENO1 (Alpha-Enolase) in Cardiomyocytes

open access: yesAntioxidants
The protective effect of isorhamnetin on myocardial injury induced by isoproterenol (ISO) was investigated to identify the key targets and pathways involved, offering potential therapeutic insights for cardiovascular diseases.

Randomized Phase II Trial of Consolidation Pembrolizumab After Definitive Chemoradiotherapy in Locally Advanced Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma: KCSG HN19‐09, CONPELAN Study

open access: yesHead &Neck, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background The benefit of consolidation programmed cell death protein 1 (PD‐1) blockade after chemoradiotherapy in locoregionally advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) remains unclear. Methods Patients with stages II–IVB NPC were randomized (2:1) to pembrolizumab 200 mg or placebo every 3 weeks for up to 17 cycles after chemoradiotherapy ...

Endemic aleutian disease [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Aleutian disease (AD) is a common global disease in farmed mink caused by infection with Aleutian disease virus (ADV). This thesis investigated the use of ADV antibody ELISA as a tool to reduce the impact on welfare and reproduction of mink in ADV endemic areas. First, two ELISA systems were compared.

A Serum lncRNA Signature Determines Oncogenic YAP Activity in Cancer Patients

open access: yesInternational Journal of Cancer, EarlyView.
Long non‐coding RNAs (lncRNAs) signatures are promising cancer biomarkers, since their dysregulation in tumors is reflected in body fluids. In this study, next‐generation sequencing, bioinformatics, and gene expression data were combined to investigate an lncRNA signature linked specifically to the cancer‐promoting YAP in several cancer types ...

Evolution and Phylogenetics of the Javan Hawk‐Eagle Nisaetus bartelsi (Stresemann, 1924) Using Mitochondrial Data 爪哇鹰雕 Nisaetus bartelsi (Stresemann, 1924) 基于线粒体数据的演化与系统发育研究

open access: yesIntegrative Conservation, EarlyView.
This study reconstructs the phylogeny of the Javan Hawk‐Eagle (Nisaetus bartelsi) within the subfamily Aquilinae using Maximum Likelihood and Bayesian Inference algorithms on a blood sample and GenBank data. The analysis reveals that the sampled genus Nisaetus forms a monophyletic group. Furthermore, N. bartelsi occupies a sister‐taxon of N.

Associations between selected immune-mediated diseases and tuberculosis: record-linkage studies.

open access: yes, 2013
BACKGROUND: Previous studies have suggested that there may be an association between some immune-mediated diseases and risk of tuberculosis (TB). METHODS: We analyzed a database of linked statistical records of hospital admissions and death certificates ...
