A national survey of iodine nutrition in children aged 3–6 years in China and its relationship with children's physical growth

This study highlights the iodine nutritional status among Chinese children aged 3–6 years, revealing that while levels are generally adequate. Our findings stress the importance of tailored iodine supplementation to support optimal health and development in preschoolers.

Meigs syndrome presenting with recurrent unilateral pleural effusion

This case illustrates Meigs syndrome secondary to an ovarian fibroma, which resulted in recurrent pleural effusion. A thorough workup and pleural biopsy excluded other potential pathologies. Abstract Pelvic tumours are a rare cause of pleural effusion. We describe an approach to a case of Meigs syndrome with recurrent unilateral pleural effusion.
