There is good evidence for the interaction of neuroendocrine and immune systems. Endotoxin (LPS)-induced mediators (e.g., cytokines, prostaglandins etc) set on endocrine organs (e.g., the hypothalamo-pituitry-adrenal axis; thyroid glands etc).
