Platelet Concentrates in Tooth Replantation: A Narrative Review and Evidence Synthesis of Periodontal and Pulpal Healing

open access: yesClinical and Experimental Dental Research, Volume 12, Issue 6, December 2026.
ABSTRACT Objectives The prognosis of an avulsed, replanted tooth over the long term hinges on whether the periodontal ligament (PDL) and the dental pulp can be preserved or regenerated. When extra‐oral dry time is prolonged, PDL necrosis follows, and the root becomes prone to inflammatory or replacement (ankylotic) resorption.

Biocompatibility of Novel Endodontic Sealers

open access: yes, 2017
Introduction: A successful endodontic treatment promotes eradication of bacterial infection, periapical repair, and prevents tooth re-contamination. Endodontic sealers and gutta-perchacones are used as root canal filling materials. The ideal root canal sealer has antimicrobialactivity, adequate marginal sealing quality, dimensional stability and ...

Clinical outcomes of a novel flowable calcium silicate cement in equine endodontic treatment

open access: yesEquine Veterinary Journal, Volume 58, Issue 6, Page 1602-1611, November 2026.
Abstract Background Orthograde endodontic treatment of equine cheek teeth is performed infrequently with variable success rates of obturation with calcium hydroxide paste (CHP). A novel flowable calcium silicate cement (eCSC) formulated for use as an obturation material in equine teeth has demonstrated acceptable canal filling volumes and evidence of ...
