Endogenous ochronosis or alkaptonuria is a rare, autosomal recessive disease of tyrosine metabolism that is caused by a deficiency of the enzyme homogentisic acid oxidase. The disease results in the accumulation and deposition of homogentisic acid in the cartilage, eyelids, forehead, cheeks, axillae, genital region, buccal mucosa, larynx, tympanic ...

Endogenous endophthalmitis still presents a diagnostic and therapeutic challenge even with improvements in therapeutic modalities. The main prognostic factor is the virulence of the causative organism: once the organism enters the eye, it rapidly destroys ocular tissues. Diskontraten: Endogen oder nicht endogen? / Disounting: Endogenous or not Endogenous?

The febrile increase of body temperature is regarded as a component of the complex host response to infection or inflammation that accompanies the activation of the immune system. Late phases of fever appear mediated by pro-inflammatory cytokines called endogenous pyrogens.

This review surveys the discovery of endogenous alkaloids in mammals. The formation of morphine in mammalian brain was assumed in 1970. The existence of morphine was demonstrated by radioimmunoassay. Identification of morphine was performed by spectroscopic methods. The isolation of mammalian morphine raises the question of biosynthesis.

We sought to briefly describe current models of endogenous erythropoietin (EPO) pleiotropic properties to make four points clear. First, endogenous EPO regulates erythroid cell apoptosis so that red blood cell production is balanced against the number of cells destroyed in order to maintain optimal tissue oxygen levels (i.e., consistent with provision ...

It is now well accepted that endogenous morphine is present in animals, both in invertebrates and vertebrates. It is a key signaling molecule that plays an important role in downregulating physiological responses, such as those in the immune system, including immune elements in the CNS.

ENDOGENOUS SPECIALISATION AND ENDOGENOUS PRINCIPAL-AGENT RELATIONSHIP
Australian Economic Papers, 2002The paper develops a general equilibrium model with endogenous principal‐agent relationship within a framework of consumer‐producer, economies of specialisation, and transaction costs. It is shown that if transaction efficiency is low, then autarky is chosen as the general equilibrium where no market and principal‐agent relationship exists.

CME: Endogener Hyperkortisolismus (endogenes Cushingsyndrom)
Praxis, 2020Zusammenfassung.

The existence of endogenous benzodiazepines such as diazepam and nordiazepam has been provided in human blood and brains as well as in medicinal plants and foods. It must be stressed, however, that in plasma and brain tissue there are also other benzodiazepine-like compounds termed 'endozepines' which are not halogenated.
