MODELLING OF ECONOMIC GROWTH WITH LEARNING BY DOING AND KNOWLEDGE SPILLOVERS
A generalized parametric model as a modified Romer model is considered. This model describes the dependence of the output of the index of knowledge available to the firm.

CDK11 inhibition stabilises the tumour suppressor p53 and triggers the production of an alternative p21WAF1 splice variant p21L, through the inactivation of the spliceosomal protein SF3B1. Unlike the canonical p21WAF1 protein, p21L is localised in the cytoplasm and has reduced cell cycle‐blocking activity.

HDAC4 is degraded by the E3 ligase FBXW7. In colorectal cancer, FBXW7 mutations prevent HDAC4 degradation, leading to oxaliplatin resistance. Forced degradation of HDAC4 using a PROTAC compound restores drug sensitivity by resetting the super‐enhancer landscape, reprogramming the epigenetic state of FBXW7‐mutated cells to resemble oxaliplatin ...

Alternative implications of increasing corruption for endogenous growth [PDF]
The paper discusses the effect of corruption upon economic growth in the neoclassical framework. It is shown that increasing corruption and decreasing taxation shift the growth path in the same direction and this direction depends on the difference ...

QUANTIFYING OPTIMAL POLICY IN AN ENDOGENOUS MODEL: A THEORETICAL ANALYSIS
The subject matter of research is the examination of the optimal public policy in an R&D-based endogenous growth model with monopolistic supply of intermediate goods.

Population, immigration and growth in a Romer endogenous growth model [PDF]
Producción CientíficaEndogenous growth theory has not yet consistently incorporated population growth or immigration into its models. As a result, in the present day, there is no universally accepted endogenous growth model explaining the empirical ...

Effect of chemotherapy on passenger mutations in metastatic colorectal cancer
Changes in passenger mutation load and predicted immunotherapy response after chemotherapy treatment. Tumor cells rich with passenger mutations have increased sensitivity to chemotherapy. Correlation of passenger mutations with neoantigen load suggests highly mutated clones promote a more effective response to immunotherapy, and therefore, first‐line ...

Private Information, Growth and Asset Prices with Stochastic Disturbances [PDF]
We introduce both idiosyncratic and aggregate shocks in an endogenous growth model with endogenous partial insurance to the idiosyncratic shock. Aggregate uncertainty introduces an additional channel that can play an important role in determining the ...

Strength through diversity: how cancers thrive when clones cooperate
Intratumor heterogeneity can offer direct benefits to the tumor through cooperation between different clones. In this review, Kuiken et al. discuss existing evidence for clonal cooperativity to identify overarching principles, and highlight how novel technological developments could address remaining open questions.
