Electric Pulse Regulated MXene Based Nanozymes for Integrative Bioelectricity Immuno‐Cancer Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
MXenzyme‐mediated bioelectricity cancer therapy (MXenzyme‐BECT) enhances cancer cell death through irreversible depolarization, ion channel disruption, ROS generation, and immunogenic cell death. Computational simulations reveal the electrical mechanisms by which MXenzyme acts on single cells and support to predict treatment parameters. Next‐generation

Volatility fingerprints of large shocks: Endogeneous versus exogeneous [PDF]

open access: yesWhat causes crashes? Risk Volume 16 (2), 67-71 (February 2003), 2002
Finance is about how the continuous stream of news gets incorporated into prices. But not all news have the same impact. Can one distinguish the effects of the Sept. 11, 2001 attack or of the coup against Gorbachev on Aug., 19, 1991 from financial crashes such as Oct. 1987 as well as smaller volatility bursts?

Endogenous growth through knowledge spillovers in entrepreneurship: An empirical test [PDF]

open access: yes
Endogenous growth theory is based on the notion that technological knowledge stimulates growth, yet the micro foundations of this process are rarely investigated and remain obscure.

Intraoral Drug Delivery: Bridging the Gap Between Academic Research and Industrial Innovations

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Intraoral drug delivery offers a promising route for systemic and localized therapies, yet challenges such as enzymatic degradation, limited permeability, and microbial interactions hinder efficacy. This figure highlights innovative strategies—mucoadhesive materials, enzyme inhibitors, and permeation enhancers—to overcome these barriers.

Fiscal stimulation of human capital and resultant economic growth in South Africa

open access: yesSA Journal of Human Resource Management, 2009
Shift-share analysis of employment as a measuring instrument for human resource management is proposed by this study. The results obtained through this technique can assist human resource management on the macro-level in making informed and strategic ...

Time endogeneity and an optimal weight function in pre-averaging covariance estimation [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2014
We establish a central limit theorem for a class of pre-averaging covariance estimators in a general endogenous time setting. In particular, we show that the time endogeneity has no impact on the asymptotic distribution if certain functionals of observation times are asymptotically well-defined.

Solovian and New Growth Theory from the Perspective of Allyn Young on Macroeconomic Increasing Returns [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper evaluates, from an Allyn Youngian perspective, the neoclassical Solow model of growth and the associated empirical estimates of the sources of growth based on it.

Knowledge Codification and Endogenous Growth Theory

open access: yes, 2007
The present thesis develops a formal model of endogenous growth that incorporates costly knowledge codification as a means of intergenerational knowledge transfer. It identifies the circumstances under which knowledge codification takes place in the long run and studies its effects on long run economic development.

Flow‐Induced Vascular Remodeling on‐Chip: Implications for Anti‐VEGF Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Flow‐induced vascular remodeling plays a critical role in network stabilization and function. Using a vasculature‐on‐chip system, this study reveals how physiological VEGF levels and flow affect vascular remodeling and provides insights into tumor vessel normalization.

Volatility Inference in the Presence of Both Endogenous Time and Microstructure Noise [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2013
In this article we consider the volatility inference in the presence of both market microstructure noise and endogenous time. Estimators of the integrated volatility in such a setting are proposed, and their asymptotic properties are studied. Our proposed estimator is compared with the existing popular volatility estimators via numerical studies.
