Dielectric Elastomer Actuators as Safe and Effective Tools for Mechanostimulation of Human Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
Replicating physiological forces is crucial for realistic cell models. Dielectric elastomer actuators (DEAs) offer a soft alternative, though their high voltages raised toxicity concerns. We demonstrate that DEA stimulation causes no cell damage, cell death or cell‐cycle disruption, while activating mechanosensitive responses.

Survey on generalized safety and security technology for system on wafer

open access: yes网络与信息安全学报
With the failure of Moore's law in integrated circuits, the technical and physical form of information systems was expected to evolve from integrated chip (IC) to integrated system (IS). Compared to 2D/2.5D/3D IC, system on wafer (SoW), as one of the IS,

How Organizations Learn and Innovate to Institutionalize Generative AI: Trust, Feedback Loops, and Cultural Friction

open access: yesAI &Innovation, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study examines how organizations advance in their use of Generative AI (GenAI) tools after initial adoption with particular attention to the dynamics of trust, cultural resistance, and feedback mechanisms. Grounded in organizational learning theory and institutional theory, we propose a framework that captures the factors influencing how ...

Food insecurity and unemployment among immigrants in the United States

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Agricultural Economics, EarlyView.
Abstract Immigrants can be more vulnerable to economic downturns and, during periods of economic hardship, more likely to experience food insecurity compared to natives. This study examines the differential effect of the unemployment rate on the probability of being food insecure among diverse groups of immigrant households relative to natives in the ...

Secure interface architecture for the software defined system on wafer

open access: yesTongxin xuebao
To address the lack of dynamic and heterologous characteristics for interconnect interface in software defined system on wafer, a dynamic heterologous redundancy secure interface (DHR-SI) architecture was proposed to maximize the reuse of functional ...

Risk management externalities in agrifood supply chains

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Agricultural Economics, EarlyView.
Abstract Firms may under‐ or over‐invest in risk management from the social planner's perspective, resulting in a negative externality on other economic agents in the supply chain. The externality of risk management is particularly relevant for agrifood supply chains, which frequently experience disruptions and play a primary role in preventing major ...
