Type II Endoleak: An Ambiguous and Unpredictable Marker of Worse Outcome After EVAR
Objectives To analyze predictors and long-term consequence of type II endoleak in a large series of elective EVAR. Methods Baseline characteristics, operative and follow-up data of consecutive patients undergoing EVAR were prospectively collected ...

In Situ Laser Fenestration for Subclavian Preservation During Aortic Dissection Repair
Laser fenestration is a novel technique to create an opening in an endograft to maintain perfusion to the arch vessels during thoracic endovascular aortic repair (TEVAR). A 40‐year‐old female who had undergone an emergent ascending aortic repair for acute dissection presented with aneurysmal degeneration of the descending thoracic aorta.

Introduction Thoracic aortic aneurysm poses significant diagnostic and surgical challenges. Over time, aneurysms may enlarge, risking rupture or dissection. Thoracic endovascular aortic repair (TEVAR) is a minimally invasive procedure to treat these aneurysms.

Aortic banding in the treatment of type 1 endoleak
Recently, endovascular repairs for aortic aneurysms have become highly popular particularly in high-risk patients. Despite growing experience and knowledge in this field, certain problems are still to be solved.

ABSTRACT Massive hemoptysis following TEVAR, especially in patients with prior coil embolization, should raise immediate suspicion for aortobronchial fistula. This rare but life‐threatening condition demands prompt imaging, bronchoscopy, and often urgent surgical repair. Early multidisciplinary collaboration significantly improves prognosis.

Introduction: The management of type II endoleak after EVAR continues to evolve. Most literature recommends intervention if aneurysm sac expansion is greater than 5 mm on surveillance imaging.

ObjectivePersistent aneurysm perfusion or endoleak is associated with pulsatility of abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) after endovascular repair. However, the resultant pulsatile change in aneurysm diameter may be difficult to quantify, and therefore its ...
