Abstract Brown algae (Phaeophyceae) are habitat‐forming species in coastal ecosystems and include kelp forests and seaweed beds that support a wide diversity of marine life. Host‐associated microbial communities are an integral part of phaeophyte biology, and whereas the bacterial microbial partners have received considerable attention, the microbial ...

A single marker revealed a considerable diversity of organisms associate with Dryas octopetala. The rhizosphere contains more taxa than the phyllosphere. Some taxa are cited for the first time in the Svalbard Archipelago. The use of different DNA marker will increase diversity data in the Svalbard Archipelago.

Free‐living amoebae and bacteria were monitored along a salinity gradient over 1 year. Naegleria and Vibrio were the most represented genera, with salinity and dissolved oxygen identified as key factors structuring amoebae diversity and associated bacterial communities under changing environmental conditions.

Discocelia Plataet Sp. n., a Small Incertae Sedis Cercozoan Flagellate
ABSTRACT Cercozoa = Filosa (Rhizaria, SAR) is one of the largest rhizarian subgroups and consists of a diverse assemblage of amoeboid and flagellated protists. They are ecologically significant in microbial food webs, widely diverse, and even abundant in soils and deep marine sediments according to environmental sequencing.

The feeding patterns of invasive populations of C. zillii in different habitats and seasons within a large‐scale geographic area (spanning 9.86° latitude and 10.47° longitude) in China were directly compared. ABSTRACT The redbelly tilapia (Coptodon zillii) is one of the most dangerous invasive alien fishes in the world.
