Endogenous Endophthalmitis successfully treated with Intravitreal Povidone-iodine injection: a case report

Background The usefulness of povidone-iodine as an alternative to antimicrobial agents, for endophthalmitis, has recently been documented. We report a case of endogenous endophthalmitis successfully treated with intravitreal injection of povidone-iodine.
