Endoscopic carpal tunnel release

The Journal of Hand Surgery, 1992
We have performed 149 consecutive one-portal and 152 consecutive two-portal endoscopic carpal tunnel release operations. Average time to cessation of preoperative symptoms was 15 days in both the one-portal and two-portal groups. The average time of return to work was 16 days in the one-portal group and 17 days in the two-portal group. The complication

Endoscopic Carpal Tunnel Release

World Neurosurgery, 2013
arpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) is currently the most common type of compression neuropathy, affecting C approximately 1% of the general population (2, 6). CTS results from compression of the median nerve at the level of the wrist. Diagnosis is determined on the basis of clinical symptoms, confirmed with electrophysiological studies.

Anthropometry and Endoscopic Carpal Tunnel Release

Journal of Hand Surgery, 1999
A prospective study was performed in 100 consecutive endoscopic carpal tunnel releases (ECTR) to assess the effect of a number of anthropometric measures on the ease of introduction of the ECTR system into the carpal tunnel. Ease of access to the carpal tunnel correlated with the wrist circumference, height and age of patients.

COMPLICATIONS OF ENDOSCOPIC CARPAL TUNNEL RELEASE

Hand Clinics, 1995
Carpal tunnel release has a high rate of success when the open or endoscopic technique is used. The reported complications of the endoscopic procedure have included incomplete release of the transverse carpal ligament and injury to the neurovascular structures or flexor tendons.

Endoscopic Carpal Tunnel Release [PDF]

open access: possible, 2017
While open carpal tunnel release provides excellent relief of median nerve compression, many patients complain of tenderness at the proximal palm incision for months after surgery. For over 25 years, endoscopic techniques have been available that move the incision off of the proximal palm to avoid or decrease this pillar pain. Proximal, distal, and two-

Endoscopic Carpal Tunnel Release in the Elderly

min - Minimally Invasive Neurosurgery, 2006
The present study is aimed to clarify the postoperative outcome of endoscopic carpal tunnel release in elderly patients with carpal tunnel syndrome. Endoscopic carpal tunnel release was performed on 37 hands of 27 patients (2 men, 25 women) who were aged 70 years or older and clinically and electrophysiologically diagnosed with carpal tunnel syndrome ...

Endoscopic Carpal Tunnel Release

Clinics in Plastic Surgery, 1995
Endoscopic carpal tunnel release is a technically demanding and precise procedure, but one that can be mastered to the benefit of our patients. Once mastered, the rewards of shorter operating times, reduced postoperative pain, earlier return to activities of daily living and employment, and more satisfied patients can be realized.

Endoscopic Revision of Carpal Tunnel Release

Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, 2008
Open revision has been the standard approach for treatment of recurrent carpal tunnel syndrome. The authors hypothesized that endoscopic revision would yield results comparable to those with open revision.Forty-one patients with unilateral recurrence were analyzed prospectively before and after endoscopic revision for a period of 1 year.

Experiences with Endoscopic Carpal Tunnel Release

Swiss Surgery, 2002
