Functional endoscopic sinus surgery gained increasing popularity among otolaryngologists in the last decades. During any endoscopic sinonasal surgery the major limiting factors are its complex anatomy and the high vascularity. Often, even a small hemorrage is sufficient to reduce visibility of the operating field.

Does Choice of Nasal Pack Matter? A Systematic Review and Meta‐Analysis of Merocel and Rapid Rhino
A systematic review and meta‐analysis was conducted comparing Rapid Rhino and Merocel nasal packs in the management of epistaxis. This paper demonstrates Rapid Rhino to be significantly less painful upon nasal pack removal in primary epistaxis and post‐surgical settings.

The abstract presents a single‐step drilling technique for bone‐anchored hearing aids (BAHAs), designed to shorten the surgical time and enhance patient satisfaction. This minimally invasive procedure, performed under local anesthesia, effectively reduces surgical time to less than 20 min without postoperative complications.

Revisiting Fire Safety Guidelines in CO2 Laser Airway Surgery
This experimental study evaluates fire risk during CO2 laser airway surgery using high‐flow and jet ventilation in a porcine model. Results showed that laser wattage had a greater influence on fire risk than FiO2, with jet ventilation consistently producing expansive flames.

The authors analyzed the results of treatment of 965 patients with bleeding from gastroduodenal ulcers. The endoscopic hemostasis was carried out in 20,2% patients, however a recurrence of bleeding was noted in 12,8% cases.
