This study aims to elucidate prognostic outcomes of hepatectomy versus RFA for primary 2–3 cm HCC. Hepatectomy may offer superior prognostic benefits, especially in those with elevated AFP levels. The local recurrence rate in hepatectomy is significantly lower than RFA.

Association Between the Degree of Arterial Contact Angle and Survival in Patients With Borderline Resectable Pancreatic Cancer

This study evaluated the prognostic impact of arterial contact angle in patients with borderline resectable pancreatic cancer undergoing neoadjuvant therapy and surgery. An arterial contact angle of ≥ 90° was associated with higher R1 resection rates and worse survival outcomes.

Surgical Volume and Short‐Term Outcomes After Advanced Hepatectomy in the Postpandemic Era: Analysis of the Japanese National Clinical Database (2018–2023)

Impact of Ghrelin‐Depleting Gastrectomy on Long‐Term Endocrine and Metabolic Health With a Focus on Skeletal Muscle and Bone Mineral Content

This study investigates the long‐term endocrine and metabolic consequences of ghrelin‐depleted gastrectomy, with a focus on skeletal muscle mass and bone mineral content. Sustained reductions in serum desacyl‐ghrelin were linked to lower IGF‐1 levels, resulting in significant loss of muscle and bone.
