A rapid and simple endoscopic resection of gastric fundus submucosal tumors

open access: yesDEN Open
A 56‐year‐old male patient was diagnosed with a submucosal tumor in the fundus of the stomach. The conventional operation method is endoscopic submucosal dissection.

EndoARSS: Adapting Spatially Aware Foundation Model for Efficient Activity Recognition and Semantic Segmentation in Endoscopic Surgery

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
This article introduces EndoARSS, a novel multitask learning framework that combines surgical activity recognition and semantic segmentation for endoscopic surgery. Utilizing the foundation model with novel modules like task efficient shared low‐rank adapters and spatially aware multiscale attention, EndoARSS can effectively tackle challenges in ...

Novel Extraluminal silicone tracheal stent: Development and evaluation in a rabbit model of tracheomalacia

open access: yesAnimal Models and Experimental Medicine, EarlyView.
A novel extraluminal silicone stent was developed and applied in a rabbit model of tracheomalacia. The stent effectively maintained airway patency and minimized tissue reaction without causing cartilage damage. This approach may offer a safe and effective alternative for treating tracheal collapse in small animals.

Single‐cell sequencing reveals the role of IL‐33+ endothelial subsets in promoting early gastric cancer progression

open access: yesiMeta, EarlyView.
A single‐cell atlas was established to reveal the molecular characteristics of early gastric cancer (EGC). In combination with organoids, animal models, and clinical samples, it was found that subpopulations such as pit mucous‐like cell (PMC‐like), proliferating cell (PC), CH25H+ CD4+ T cell, IL‐33+ endothelial cell, and ADAMTSL2+ endothelial cell are ...

Recurrence after Endoscopic Curative Resection of Mucosal Gastric Cancer Associated with an Adjacent Neoplastic Precursor Lesion [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
A 69-year-old man underwent endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) for early gastric cancer (EGC) at the lesser curvature in the angle of stomach. Histological examination revealed tub1, pM, ly0, v0, pLM(-), pVM(-), and the resection was considered ...

Indocyanine green fluorescence lymphography during gastrectomy after initial endoscopic submucosal dissection for early gastric cancer

open access: yesBritish Journal of Surgery, 2020
Indocyanine green (ICG) fluorescence lymphography can be used to visualize the lymphatic drainage of gastric cancer. Few studies have been performed to identify lymphatic drainage patterns after endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD).
