Research Communication: Prevalence of Asymptomatic Premalignant Oesophageal Lesions in Patients With Fanconi Anaemia

open access: yesAlimentary Pharmacology &Therapeutics, Volume 62, Issue 9, Page 939-943, November 2025.
Clinically relevant endoscopic findings in asymptomatic Fanconi Anemia patients. ABSTRACT Fanconi anaemia (FA), a rare genetic disorder of DNA repair, predisposes to squamous cell carcinomas of head, neck and oesophagus. We assessed the value of screening esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD) in 20 asymptomatic adults (median age 23.5, 65% female) with FA ...

Curative Resection Following Conservative Treatment for Perforated Early Gastric Cancer: A Case Report

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 13, Issue 10, October 2025.
ABSTRACT This report relates to a rare case of curative resection in gastric perforation due to early gastric cancer performed after conservative treatment. Conservation treatment/omentum patch could be more effective for perforated gastric cancer, and subsequent radical gastrectomy would result in a safer and more highly curative surgery.

Modification of Pathological Nodal Classification for pT1b Esophageal Squamous Cell Carcinoma With Lymphovascular Invasion: Over 10‐Year Experience

open access: yesCancer Reports, Volume 8, Issue 10, October 2025.
ABSTRACT Background Lymphovascular invasion (LVI) adversely affects the survival of pT1b esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC). It is hypothesized that a modified stage classification of pT1b ESCC based on LVI may facilitate multidisciplinary therapy in LVI‐positive patients.
