Endoscopic submucosal dissection
Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, 2015ESD is an established effective treatment modality for premalignant and early-stage malignant lesions of the stomach, esophagus, and colorectum. Compared with EMR, ESD is generally associated with higher rates of en bloc, R0, and curative resections and a lower rate of local recurrence.

Endoscopic hand suturing (EHS) is expected to decrease the risk of post‐endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) bleeding by closing mucosal defects. We investigated the efficacy of EHS after gastric ESD in patients with antithrombotic agents.

Endoscopic Submucosal Dissection [PDF]
Endoscopic submucosal dissection is a novel technique that aims en bloc removal of superficial gastrointestinal lesions. It consists of basic steps of injection and lifting the mucosa from the submucosa, incision and dissection of the lesion, and snare removal.

Endoscopic Mucosal Resection and Endoscopic Submucosal Dissection
Surgical Clinics of North America, 2020Therapeutic endoscopy is an emerging field within general surgery. This article explores the evidence for and usage of endoscopic mucosal resection and endoscopic submucosal dissection throughout the gastrointestinal tract. We aim to educate surgeons and provide an understanding of these techniques.

ENDOSCOPIC SUBMUCOSAL DISSECTION FOR GASTRIC SUBMUCOSAL TUMOR, ENDOSCOPIC SUB‐TUMORAL DISSECTION
Digestive Endoscopy, 2009Gastric submucosal tumor (SMT) is frequently found during screening endoscopy, but definitive diagnosis based on histological confirmation is relatively difficult. Even without accurate diagnosis before treatment, open or laparoscopic surgery is currently carried out to remove SMT.
