Endoscopic submucosal dissection technique (Tecnica della endoscopic submucosal dissection)
2008ESD represents an efficient solution for the endoscopic treatment of neoplasia limited to the mucosal layer, its technique is complex and mimicks a "surgical" resection. ESD diffusion in our endoscopic structures will significantly increase our options for treatment of early neoplasms of the digestive tract.

Endoscopic submucosal dissection for rectal tumors
Endoscopy, 2007Endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) has recently been developed for one-piece resection of gastric tumors. In order to improve patients' quality of life, it may be desirable to use the same technique for rectal tumors.35 consecutive patients with rectal tumors were enrolled. Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, 2009
Compared with conventional EMR, endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) has a higher en bloc resection rate and complete resection rate, regardless of tumor size, in treating gastric neoplasms. However, ESD leads to more complications, such as bleeding or perforation, and, in particular, needs more procedure time than a conventional EMR.To report a new ...

Endoscopic submucosal dissection for gastric cancer
Current Treatment Options in Gastroenterology, 2008Endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) is a novel endoscopic treatment that enables a clinician to resect an early-stage gastric cancer in en bloc fashion. ESD is indicated for those cancers in which there is a high probability of en bloc resection and low probability of lymph node metastasis.
