Gastro-Intestinal Tract Complications During Antithrombotic Therapy

open access: yesОбщая реаниматология, 2018
Use of antithrombotic aids (ATA)  significantly  impact  the prevention of life-threatening cardiovascular complications. ATA applications, however, are associated with a wide range of adverse digestive system responses.

Spatiotemporal Targeting Randle Cycle and Immune Checkpoint for Potent Antitumor Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A glucose oxidase‐based nanogel (GOX‐NG) system using catechol‐functionalized alginate, exhibits enhanced tumor penetration, prolonged retention, and sustained glucose depletion in the tumor microenvironment. When combined with a fatty acid oxidation inhibitor, it implements dual metabolic suppression, thereby enhancing ROS‐induced immunogenic cell ...

Oral administration of Sophora Flavescens-derived exosomes-like nanovesicles carrying CX5461 ameliorates DSS-induced colitis in mice

open access: yesJournal of Nanobiotechnology
Ulcerative colitis (UC) belongs to chronic inflammatory disease with a relapsing characterization. Conventional oral drugs of UC are restricted in clinical by premature degradation in the gastrointestinal tract, modest efficacy, and adverse effects ...

Inhibition of KDEL Receptors Remodels the Tumor Microenvironment for T Cell Independent Tumor Regression

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Inhibition of KDELR2 in a small fraction of tumor cells generates sustainable immunogenic cell death conditions within the tumor microenvironment. These conditions promote the regression of tumors in a T cell independent manner. During regression, macrophages prime T cells that subsequently provide systemic protection against recurrence. The potency of

Artificial Intelligence in Inflammatory Bowel Disease Endoscopy

open access: yesDiagnostics
Inflammatory bowel diseases (IBDs), comprising Crohn’s disease (CD) and ulcerative colitis (UC), are chronic immune-mediated inflammatory diseases of the gastrointestinal (GI) tract with still-elusive etiopathogeneses and an increasing prevalence ...

Nano‐Backpack Engineered Probiotics with Reactive Oxygen Species–Responsive Tungsten Release for Synergistic Therapy of Inflammatory Bowel Disease

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An integrated probiotic system is engineered to execute a programmed therapeutic cascade against inflammatory bowel disease. Upon pathological signals, the system sequentially performs ROS scavenging, tungsten release, and selective pathogen suppression, thereby breaking the oxidative stress–dysbiosis cycle to remodel gut microbiota and reinforce ...

Lymph Node Metastasis Pattern and Influencing Factors in Esophageal Squamous Cell Carcinoma

open access: yesAGING MEDICINE, EarlyView.
Among 388 patients with esophageal squamous cell carcinoma who underwent curative resection, 144 (37.1%) developed lymph node metastasis. Upper thoracic tumors mainly involved upper mediastinal and upper right paratracheal nodes, whereas lower thoracic tumors more often involved paracardial and abdominal nodes.
