Serum proteomic and metabolomic analyses from patients with IBD identify biological pathways associated with treatment success with anti‐integrin therapy

In this article, we have analyzed the serum proteome and metabolome in inflammatory bowel disease patients being treated with the anti‐α4β7 integrin therapeutic agent vedolizumab. The pretreatment biomarker profiles, as well as changes in biomarker profiles during treatment, identified likely pro‐inflammatory pathways associated with treatment response.
