Dose dependence of ferromagnetism in Co-implanted ZnO [PDF]

open access: yesJ. Appl. Phys. 105, 043907 (2009), 2008
We have studied the structural, magnetic and electronic properties of Co-implanted ZnO (0001) films grown on Al2O3 (1120) substrates for different implantation doses and over a wide temperature range. Strong room temperature ferromagnetism is observed with magnetic parameters depending on the cobalt implantation dose.

Accuracy of Metabolomics in Peri‐Implant Crevicular Fluid for Diagnosis and Prognosis of Peri‐Implantitis

open access: yesJournal of Periodontal Research, EarlyView.
Define metabolites diagnostic of peri‐implantitis and predictive of future radiographic bone‐level (RBL) destruction. Metabolomics via Proton‐Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy of peri‐implant crevicular fluid. Cadaverine/Lysine and Putrescine signatures predict peri‐implantitis, while alpha‐ketoglutarate diagnoses implant health.

Fatigue behaviour of titanium dental endosseous implants [PDF]

open access: yesFracture and Structural Integrity, 2011
In this work two different titanium dental implants are analyzed in order to evaluate their mechanical strength. An ad-hoc designed experimental apparatus is prepared to test against fatigue these implants in a way that approximates as much as possible ...

Deep level transient spectroscopy study for the development of ion-implanted silicon field-effect transistors for spin-dependent transport [PDF]

open access: yesThin Solid Films 518 (2010) 2524-2527, 2010
A deep level transient spectroscopy (DLTS) study of defects created by low-fluence, low-energy ion implantation for development of ion-implanted silicon field-effect transistors for spin-dependent transport experiments is presented. Standard annealing strategies are considered to activate the implanted dopants and repair the implantation damage in ...

Neuroanatomical study of the podocnemidid turtle Neochelys arenarum (Pleurodira), from the early Eocene of France

open access: yesThe Anatomical Record, Volume 308, Issue 6, Page 1646-1658, June 2025.
Abstract Neochelys is an exclusively European Eocene podocnemidid genus belonging to a linage that reached this continent at the early Eocene. The so far available anatomical information about it is relatively abundant, especially considering that of its shell, at least partially preserved for the eight valid species currently considered.

Sandwich bone graft for vertical augmentation of the posterior maxillary region: a case report with 9-year follow-up

open access: yesInternational Journal of Implant Dentistry, 2017
The loss of teeth followed by bone resorption often lead to defects in the alveolar ridge, making installation of dental implants difficult. Correction of such bone defects, especially lack of height of the ridge, is a difficult problem for all dental ...

Chemical Fixation Importance of Histologic Samples for Staining of Proliferated Bone During Implant Osseointegration

open access: yesBulletin of University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine Cluj-Napoca: Veterinary Medicine, 2020
This study aimed to obtain as much and as accurate information as possible about the process of osseointegration of titanium implants, through histological processing. For this purpose, the combination of a mercury chloride fixator (Stieve mixture) and a

Calculation of the substitutional fraction of ion-implanted He in an Fe target [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Nuclear Materials 414, 426 (2011), 2010
Ion-implantation is a useful technique to study irradiation damage in nuclear materials. To study He effects in nuclear fusion conditions, He is co-implanted with damage ions to reproduce the correct He/dpa ratios in the desired or available depth range.

Five‐Year Results of One‐Piece Zirconia Oral Implants Supporting Three‐Unit Fixed Dental Prostheses

open access: yesClinical Oral Implants Research, Volume 36, Issue 5, Page 589-599, May 2025.
ABSTRACT Objectives The purpose of the present prospective case series was to investigate the clinical and radiological outcome of one‐piece zirconia implants fabricated from 3Y‐TZP with a moderately roughened endosseous surface (Sa = 1.24 μm) to support three‐unit fixed dental prostheses (FDP) after five years in function. Materials and Methods Twenty‐
