Objectives: The present study was undertaken to evaluate and compare the apical extrusion of irrigant and depth of irrigant penetration into dentine using the EndoVac irrigating system and manual irrigation system in primary molar teeth. Study Design: Twenty five extracted primary molars satisfying the inclusion and exclusion criteria were divided into

A Sealed Irrigation Approach for Root Resorption: Case Report With Review of Irrigation Strategies. [PDF]
Background Root resorptive defects present significant diagnostic and clinical challenges, particularly when differentiating internal root resorption (IRR) from external cervical resorption (ECR). Their irregular anatomy complicates effective debridement and increases the risk of irrigant extrusion during conventional irrigation procedures.

Effect of Various Root Canal Irrigation Techniques on Root Dentin Mechanical Properties: An In Vitro Study. [PDF]
Background Root canal irrigation is essential for effective canal disinfection, but activation techniques may alter the mechanical properties of root dentin. Objective To evaluate the effects of four different root canal irrigation techniques on root dentin nanohardness, elastic modulus, and flexural strength.

Guided Cavity Preparation to Access an Invagination and Preserve Pulp Vitality of an Immature Maxillary Lateral Incisor With Type IIIa Dens Invaginatus: Technical Overview and a Case Report With 3-Year Follow-Up. [PDF]
ABSTRACT Aim Dens invaginatus (DI) is a developmental anomaly often associated with caries and periapical pathosis. This report describes guided access and filling of an infected invagination in a maxillary lateral (tooth #22) with long‐term preservation of pulp vitality.

The combination of computational fluid dynamics and microcomputed tomography allow the characterization of the key parameters of root canal irrigation. Neither positive nor negative pressure systems can fully remove the vapor lock in such anatomies. The use of side‐vented needles combines a high cleaning capacity with a low risk of extrusion.
