Drug Coated Balloons Versus Drug‐Eluting Stents in Patients With De Novo Coronary Artery Disease
ABSTRACT Background In patients with de novo coronary artery disease (CAD), percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) with drug eluting stent (DES) implantation is the gold standard therapy. New evidence is available with drug coated balloons (DCB) angioplasty. The objective of this meta‐analysis was to compare the efficacy and safety of DCB angioplasty

ABSTRACT Background Valve‐in‐valve (ViV) procedures are an established therapy. Self‐expanding (SE) supra‐annular transcatheter heart valves (THV) achieve superior hemodynamics compared to balloon‐expandable (BE) intra‐annular THV, but influence of stent design versus valve position remains unclear.

Breaking the Barrier: Unraveling the No‐Reflow Phenomenon in Cardiovascular Medicine
ABSTRACT The no‐reflow phenomenon is a stubborn and often devastating complication in cardiovascular medicine, where blood flow is restored to an artery, yet the microvasculature remains unresponsive. First identified in 1967, this phenomenon has haunted clinicians and researchers alike, particularly in the context of acute myocardial infarction (AMI).

ABSTRACT Surgical aortic valve replacement (AVR) is the standard treatment for symptomatic severe neo‐aortic regurgitation in Ross patients. The only previous report of a transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) in a Ross patient required valve‐in‐valve rescue. Thus, this is the first uncomplicated TAVI procedure in a Ross patient.

ABSTRACT Background and Aims Perventricular device closure of muscular VSD in small infants is a less invasive option than surgical closure under cardiopulmonary bypass and offers better outcomes than palliative pulmonary artery banding. However, the specific risk factors that could affect procedural success and optimal outcomes have not been ...
