A NOMOGRAPH FOR DETERMINING FIFTY PER CENT ENDPOINTS

Journal of Applied Bacteriology, 1961
SUMMARY A universal nomograph is presented for determining the 50% response dose (RD 50 ) from the cumulative percentage response. Instructions are given for the preparation of simpler nomographs for particular test conditions.

Automatic endpoint determination for batch tea dryers

2001
A laboratory batch fluid-bed dryer was developed for handling small samples of tea for experimental batch manufacture, and this dryer required a means of stopping drying when the process was complete. A control system was devised which requires only the initial weight of the sample to be entered into the controller.

Method and apparatus for determining the endpoints of a speech utterance

The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 1990
A speech utterance is supplied to a control circuit which includes a plurality of band-pass filters and a maximum value detector coupled to the filters. The maximum value of the outputs of the filters are fed to an endpoints-detector wherein the endpoints are located or determined using the maximum value and at least one threshold value.

Determination of Cell Dose–survival Relationships from Endpoint Dilution Assays

International Journal of Radiation Biology, 1993
Methods for fitting radiation survival curves to data obtained from endpoint-dilution assays are described. It is shown that for functional forms such as the linear-quadratic model the problem can be recast as a generalized linear model (GLM) and the data fitted using standard software.

Endpoints for Determination of Efficacy of Antiangiogenic Agents in Clinical Trials

1999
The fiield of angiogenesis research has undergone dramatic growth in recent years, as evidenced by the massive number of citations appearing in the medical literature (1). Until very recently, the focus of most work has been on defining the steps in the angiogenesis cascade, and the naturally occurring factors that both induce and inhibit the process ...
