Ni Microspheres as Electrocatalysts for Ethanol Oxidation in an Alkaline Medium

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electrochemical Science, 2018
We report the synthesis of nickel microspheres and their structural and electrochemical characterization. The materials were prepared by the microemulsion technique from NiSO4∙6H2O and NaOH, and using NaH2PO2∙H2O as a reducing agent.

Urban sustainability commitment: Actor constellations and motivations

open access: yesReview of Policy Research, Volume 43, Issue 1, January 2026.
Abstract In recent years, cities have increasingly committed to sustainable urban development, despite it being a voluntary task. This paper investigates the causes behind this commitment by focusing on local policy‐makers and their motivation rather than viewing cities as unitary actors.

Characterization of Composite Mesoporous Carbon/Conducting Polymer Electrodes Prepared by Chemical Oxidation of Gas-Phase Absorbed Monomer for Electrochemical Capacitors

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electrochemical Science, 2011
Mesoporous carbon/conducting polymer composites have been synthesized by adsorption of different monomers (aniline, pyrrole, thiophene and 3-methyltiophene) in the gas phase onto the carbon surface, followed by oxidative chemical polymerization.

Enhanced Electroactivity for Overall Water Splitting and Oxygen Potential of Pt/Carbon Nanotubes Functionalized with Cu Organometallic Complex

open access: yesEnergy Technology, Volume 13, Issue 11, November 2025.
Functionalizing carbon nanotubes (CNT) with the mesitylcopper (Cu‐mes) complex modifies the surface of CNT, developing Cu‐Pt alloys and Cu‐species. The result is a modified Pt electronic structure that promotes the catalytic activity of the 5 wt% Pt/CNTCu‐mes nanocatalyst for hydrogen and oxygen evolution reactions, and oxygen reduction reaction.
