Cosmic radio noise absorption events associated with equatorward drifting arcs during a substorm growth phase [PDF]
Cosmic radio noise absorption (CNA) events associated with equatorward drifting arcs during a substorm growth phase are studied by using simultaneous optical auroral, IRIS imaging riometer and EISCAT incoherent scatter radar measurements.

Mesospheric ionization during substorm growth phase
Many studies have been conducted about the impact of energetic charged particles on the atmosphere during geomagnetically active times, while quiet time effects are poorly understood. We identified two energetic electron precipitation (EEP) events during

Energetic Electron Precipitation Induced by Oblique Whistler Mode Chorus Emissions
Abstract Energetic electron acceleration and precipitation in the Earth's outer radiation belt are highly associated with wave‐particle interactions between whistler mode chorus waves and electrons. We perform test particle simulations to investigate electrons interacting with parallel and oblique chorus emissions

ABSTRACT Objective Super‐Refractory Status Epilepticus (SRSE) is a rare, life‐threatening neurological emergency with unclear etiology in many cases. Mitochondrial dysfunction, often due to disease‐causing genetic variants, is increasingly recognized as a cause, with each gene producing distinct pathophysiological mechanisms.

On Energetic Electron Precipitation in Auroral Arcs
Abstract A key element of magnetosphere‐ionosphere coupling is the precipitation of electrons, which transfers energy from the collisionless, rarefied magnetospheric plasma into the dense, collisional ionosphere. Two distinct types of such precipitation are: auroral electrons, which carry field‐aligned currents and are responsible for

The stability criteria affecting the formation of high‐entropy alloys, particularly focusing in supersaturated solid solutions produced by mechanical alloying, are analyzed. Criteria based on Hume–Rothery rules are distinguished from those derived from thermodynamic relations. The formers are generally applicable to mechanically alloyed samples.

In this study, we present simultaneous multi-point observations of magnetospheric oscillations on a time scale of tens of minutes (forced-breathing mode) and modulated whistler-mode chorus waves, associated with concurrent energetic electron ...

Recent studies suggest that electrons with energies up to several hundred keV precipitate into the atmosphere associated with pulsating aurora (PsA). It is debated the highest energy of precipitating electrons associated with PsA.

Coordinated EISCAT/DMSP measurements of electron density and energetic electron precipitation [PDF]
A campaign was recently undertaken to obtain simultaneous radar and satellite measurements that would provide insight into the temporal and spatial morphology of the energetic particle precipitation. It included coordinated field‐aligned measurements of the altitudinal profile of the E region electron density from the European Incoherent Scatter ...
