Matching the photocurrent of perovskite/organic tandem solar modules by varying the cell width [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2023
Photocurrent matching in conventional monolithic tandem solar cells is achieved by choosing semiconductors with complementary absorption spectra and by carefully adjusting the optical properties of the complete top and bottom stacks. However, for thin film photovoltaic technologies at the module level, another design variable significantly alleviates ...

The Charm of the Proton and the $Λ_c^{+}$ Production [PDF]

open access: yesAIPConf.Proc.400:231-236,1997, 1997
We propose a two component model for charmed baryon production in $pp$ collisions consisting of the conventional parton fusion mechanism and fragmentation plus quarks recombination in which a $ud$ valence diquark from the proton recombines with a $c$-sea quark to produce a $\Lambda_c^+$.

Yield Performance of Standard Multicrystalline, Monocrystalline, and Cast-Mono Modules in Outdoor Conditions

open access: yesEnergies
On the journey to reduce the cost of solar modules, several silicon-growing techniques have been explored to grow the wafers the cells are based on. The most utilized ones have been the multicrystalline silicon (mc-Si) and the monocrystalline ones, with ...

Exploration in Booster Reuse Employing Aerosurfaces [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2023
A new idea for reusing rockets, based on the Energia 2 launch vehicle, using deployable wings is proposed. A mission design is planned with an expected maximum altitude of 500 m. Following that systems engineering was used to manage the design process of separate components, which in turn led to the manufacturing plans for the separate components.

Exploiting CO2‐Derived Carbon in Lithium‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Energy and Sustainability Research, EarlyView.
In this work, a carbon nanomaterial (CNM) extracted from CO2 reduction treatment is used as the conductive additive in lithium‐ion battery graphite anodes and LiFePO4 cathodes. The electrodes are produced by casting, using both sodium alginate as a green, water‐soluble, alternative binder.

Nature of Anti‐Dissipative High‐Energy Excited States in Quaterpyridine‐Bridged Ruthenium Complexes

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie International Edition, Accepted Article.
High‐energy excited states with slow rates for internal conversion to the lowest‐energy excited state are prone to be intercepted before they dissipate energy to the medium. In a previous report, oligomeric Ru(II) photosensitizers bearing a bridging 2,2’:5’,3’’:6’’,2’’’‐quaterpyridine scaffold showed promising anti‐dissipative behavior in photoinduced ...
