Energy-based approach to power transfer system analysis

Proceedings of the 40th IEEE Conference on Decision and Control (Cat. No.01CH37228), 2002
This paper presents a new theoretical approach to energy-based power system analysis for multibus power transmission systems. On the basis of mechanical analogy, an exact energy integral expression is derived for lossy multibus systems through rigorous energy analysis.

The Energy Based Approach to Fatigue

Advanced Materials Research, 2014
This paper presents the energy based approaches developed to describe different aspects of fatigue. Different topics covered include fatigue crack initiation, crack initiation at a notch, multiaxial fatigue and fatigue crack propagation. Specific examples treated include, crack initiation at a notch, cracking at solder joint in electronic application ...

An energy based approach to undervoltage load shedding

Fuel and Energy Abstracts, 1995
Abstract A novel effort to apply Lyapunov's energy methods towards developing an energy based load shedding scheme in order to alleviate voltage instability is presented. An ‘absolute’ energy function is derived which eliminates the need to calculate the unstable equilibrium points (UEPs) and thus saves a considerable amount of computation time.

Wavelet and energy based approach for PVC detection

2009 International Conference on Emerging Trends in Electronic and Photonic Devices & Systems, 2009
This paper describes a wavelet and energy based technique for the detection of ventricular premature arrhythmic beats in Electrocardiogram (ECG) that are of great importance in evaluating and predicting life threatening ventricular arrhythmias. Premature Ventricular Contraction (PVC) can be seen in ECG as abnormal wave shape of the QRS complex.

Energy-based approach for flight control systems design

Automation and Remote Control, 2013
We consider the fundamentals of the energy-based approach to spatial motion control. The resulting energy balance equation establishes quantitative relations between all energy sources and consumers in the system of objects "flying vehicle--thrust system--external environment." We establish the structure and further modification of an energy-based ...

Energy-Based Approach for Determining Flow Number

Journal of Testing and Evaluation, 2010
Abstract The Asphalt Mixture Performance Test (AMPT) is being used in research and is nearing completion to be adopted by highway agencies for evaluating the performance of asphalt concrete mixtures. The implementation of Superpave volumetric mixture design has occurred in nearly all state agencies in the United States.

An Energy-Based Approach for Fatigue Crack Growth

Key Engineering Materials, 2006
A fatigue crack growth model under constant amplitude loading based on the total plastic energy dissipation per cycle ahead of the crack was proposed. With the energy balance concept, the crack growth rate was correlated with the total plastic dissipation per cycle, and the total plastic dissipation per cycle was obtained through 2-D elastic–plastic ...

Energy-based viscoelastic model: a physical approach for material an elastic behavior by the bond graph approach

SIMULATION, 2019
Understanding the true nature of viscoelastic behaviors in multi-physical systems has always been a challenging issue in system dynamic investigations, as each existing physical subdomain of the system may follow a different attenuation pattern during the dynamic process.

Consciousness: An Energy-Based Approach to Information Generation

Journal of Consciousness Studies
A fundamental question in the field of consciousness is how and why physical processes in the brain give rise to consciousness, a problem named the ‘hard problem of consciousness’ by David Chalmers. Despite numerous studies, neuroscience has yet to agree on a single account that addresses the hard problem of consciousness. Here, I introduce the energy-

An Approach of Renewable Energy Based on Machine Learning

Renewable energy comes from natural resources that replenish more quickly than they are used up. Compared with burning fossil fuels, producing renewable energy produces a lot fewer emissions. The key to solving the climate catastrophe is shifting away from fossil fuels, which presently provide the majority of emissions, and toward renewable energy. The
