Biodegradable 3D‐Printable and Coatable Antifouling Composites for Marine Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Marine biofouling damages submerged surfaces and raises greenhouse gas emissions. Biodegradable antifouling biocomposites were developed by hot‐mixing beeswax, Tween 80, and calcium stearate or stearic acid. Adjusting the component ratio enables processing via hot‐pressing, 3D‐printing, or dip‐coating.

Energy communities [PDF]

open access: yesE3S Web of Conferences, 2019
Energy communities are associations of producers and consumers of energy set up to reduce the dependence on fossil fuels and optimise the use of energy for the advantage of the members. This paper presents an experiment being implemented in the territory around the town of Pinerolo in western Piedmont. Encouraging results are reported.

Current‐Driven Chirality Detection of Magnetic Textures in Cylindrical Nanowires

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Current‐assisted anisotropic magnetoresistance measurements in individual Ni/Au cylindrical nanowires enable detection of vortex chirality near Au segments and selective magnetic reversal in defined wire sections at magnetic fields lower than the propagation field. This approach provides a simple, cost‐effective, and non‐invasive method for probing and
