Modified theories of gravity with non-minimal curvature-matter coupling

open access: yes, 2009
In this contribution one examines the generalization of the $f(R)$ theories of gravity where one introduces a non-minimal coupling between curvature and matter. This model has new and interesting features.

On the Stability of Einstein Static Universe in Doubly General Relativity Scenario [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
By presenting a relation between average energy of the ensemble of probe photons and energy density of the Universe, in the context of {\it gravity's rainbow} or {\it doubly general relativity} scenario, we introduce a rainbow FRW Universe model.

Direct Metal Deposition of Graphene–Ti28Nb35.4Zr Matrix Composites With Enhanced Mechanical, Corrosion, and Biocompatibility Properties for Bone Implants

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Graphene nanoplatelet (0.1 wt.%) reinforcement significantly enhances the performance of β Ti‐28Nb‐35.4Zr alloy. Grain refinement, reduced water contact angle, and improved surface characteristics promote osteoblast adhesion and complete surface coverage after 7 days.

Unveiling the Universe: Tsallis Holographic Dark Energy and Modified Logarithmic f(R) Gravity [PDF]

open access: yesIranian Journal of Astronomy and Astrophysics
In this paper, we delve into the intricacies of the Tsallis holographic dark energy model within the framework of a modified logarithmic f(R) gravity. This gravity model is distinctive due to its composition, which includes both polynomial terms and a ...

Exploring Dipolar Dynamics and Ionic Transport in Metal‐Organic Frameworks: Experimental and Theoretical Insights

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In this study, the interplay of dipolar dynamics and ionic charge transport in MOF compounds is investigated. Synthesizing the novel structure CFA‐25 with integrated freely rotating dipolar groups, local and macroscopic effects, including interactions with Cs cations are explored.

Rotating Casimir wormholes in f(R) gravity: a modified gravity extension of exotic spacetime models

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields
We investigate the construction and viability of rotating Casimir wormholes within the framework of f(R) gravity, focusing on models of the form $$f(R) = R + \alpha R^2$$ f ( R ) = R + α R 2 .

New insights on the matter-gravity coupling paradigm

open access: yes, 2012
The coupling between matter and gravity in General Relativity is given by a proportionality relation between the stress tensor and the geometry. This is an oriented assumption driven by the fact that both the stress tensor and the Einstein tensor are ...

Reheating and gravitino production in braneworld inflation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
We consider the constraints that can be imposed on a wide class of Inflation models in modified gravity scenarios in which the Friedmann equation is modified by the inclusion of $\rho^2$ terms, where $\rho$ is the total energy density.

3D (Bio) Printing Combined Fiber Fabrication Methods for Tissue Engineering Applications: Possibilities and Limitations

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Biofabrication aims at providing innovative technologies and tools for the fabrication of tissue‐like constructs for tissue engineering and regenerative medicine applications. By integrating multiple biofabrication technologies, such as 3D (bio) printing with fiber fabrication methods, it would be more realistic to reconstruct native tissue's ...
