Estimating Energy Consumption in Surimi Processing

Applied Engineering in Agriculture, 1990
Documented power consumption rates for individual food processing operations are applied to surimi processing, freezing, and cold storage. Electrical power consumption is predicted to be 314 and 272 kWh/t (285 and 247 kWh/ton) for representative surimi plants in Oregon and Alaska, respectively, during summer operation.

Software Energy Consumption Estimation at Architecture-Level

2016 13th International Conference on Embedded Software and Systems (ICESS), 2016
The architecture of software systems can be naturally modeled as complex networks, where entities of software are nodes and interactions between entities are edges. These edges represent data-flows, instruction-flows and control-flows of the software, and these flows driving hardware circuit is the internal cause of the energy consumption of the ...

EProf: An Accurate Energy Consumption Estimation Tool

2011 30th International Conference of the Chilean Computer Science Society, 2011
Energy efficiency is a primary concern in Wireless Sensor Networks because in general, wireless sensor nodes run on non-rechargeable batteries. Therefore, the estimating a expected node lifetime is indispensable. Thus, energy is an important issue that should be optimized by the application developer. However, in order for the developer to realize that

Empowering developers to estimate app energy consumption

Proceedings of the 18th annual international conference on Mobile computing and networking, 2012
Battery life is a critical performance and user experience metric on mobile devices. However, it is difficult for app developers to measure the energy used by their apps, and to explore how energy use might change with conditions that vary outside of the developer's control such as network congestion, choice of mobile operator, and user settings for ...
