Turbulent dissipation in the ISM: the coexistence of forced and decaying regimes and implications for galaxy formation and evolution [PDF]
We discuss the dissipation of turbulent kinetic energy Ek in the global ISM by means of 2-D, MHD, non-isothermal simulations in the presence of model radiative heating and cooling.

The tribological behavior of 100Cr6 steel spheres textured via Vickers microindentation is evaluated under lubricated sliding by varying both dimple size and density. Fine and dense textures significantly reduce friction across all lubrication regimes, while large dimples increase it.

Process‐Informed Analysis of As‐Built Metal Additive Surface Features
This article introduces a novel method for feature‐based surface texture characterisation directly incorporating manufacturing variables into the feature extraction workflow. This marks a major step towards identifying process‐specific surface properties and their influence on part function and hence a holistic understanding of process–structure ...

Energy dissipation during a rockfall and mechanical response of an energy dissipation structure
In this study, we investigated the rockfall motion characteristics for varying rock sizes and the structural responses of steel pipes with and without energy dissipation components. Specifically, we conducted rockfall tests under three conditions: (1) an
