On energy harvesting for augmented tags

open access: yesComptes Rendus. Physique, 2016

Alkane biosynthesis gene expression and its increased production in recombinant cyanobacteria

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
The transcription and mRNA structures of the alkane biosynthesis genes ado/aar were analysed in the representative cyanobacteria PCC 6803 and SK1‐2‐1, which produce C17H36 and C15H32, respectively. PCC 6803 transconjugants carrying these genes showed a 1.8‐ to 2.3‐fold increase in C17H36 production.

An enzyme‐linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA)‐based activity assay for AMP‐activated protein kinase (AMPK)

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Measuring AMP‐activated protein kinase (AMPK) activity in vitro is crucial for testing AMPK activators or inhibitors with therapeutic potential. Here, we report an enzyme‐linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA)‐based AMPK activity assay with simple steps and high sensitivity, which offers a simple, robust, and cost‐effective alternative to traditional ...

Nonlinear Energy Harvesting Models in Wireless Information and Power Transfer [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2018
This work compares different linear and nonlinear RF energy harvesting models, including limited or unlimited sensitivity, for simultaneous wireless information and power transfer (SWIPT). The probability of successful SWIPT reception under a family of RF harvesting models is rigorously quantified, using state-of-the-art rectifiers in the context of ...

Comparison of Electromagnetic Energy Harvesters

open access: yes2019 11th International Conference on Electronics, Computers and Artificial Intelligence (ECAI), 2019
This paper compares various types of electromagnetic harvesters in terms of their electrical and magnetic features. The harvesters have different flux morphologies and natural frequencies and therefore that can be a superiority for them to use in different applications from the ignition signal to the energy harvester aims for battery-free systems.

Adenosine A3 receptor antagonists as anti‐tumor treatment in human prostate cancer: an in vitro study

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
The A3 adenosine receptors (A3ARs) are overexpressed in prostate cancer. AR 292 and AR 357, as A3AR antagonists, are capable of blocking proliferation, modulating the expression of drug transporter genes involved in chemoresistance, ferroptosis, and the hypoxia response, and inducing cell death.
