Positively supercharged mGreenLatern protein is self‐assembled electrostatically with negatively charged zinc phthalocyanines to yield bio‐based photoactive materials in aqueous media. The addition of phthalocyanines results in the formation of large complexes fully quenching of the protein fluorescence. The results indicate an energy transfer from the

Light‐Triggered Protease‐Mediated Release of Actin‐Bound Cargo from Synthetic Cells
TEV Prtoease‐mediated Releasable Actin‐binding Protein (TRAP) is a protein‐based platform consisting of a cargo tightly bound to reconstituted actin networks in synthetic cells which can be proteolyticly released from the bound actin, followed by its secretion through membrane translocation mediated by a cell‐penetrating peptide.

Throughput Maximization for Wireless Powered Communications Harvesting from Non-dedicated Sources [PDF]
We consider the wireless powered communications where users harvest energy from non-dedicated sources. The user follows a harvest-then-transmit protocol: in first phase of a slot time the source node harvests energy from a nearby conventional Access Point, then transmit information to its destination node or relay node in the second phase.

In this study, exciting new bi‐/multi‐linear elastic behavior of soft elastic composites that accompany the activation of wrinkling in the embedded interfacial layers is analyzed. The new features and performance of these composite materials, including dramatic enhancements in energy storage, can be tailored by the concentration of interfacial layers ...

KupferDigital: Ontology‐Based Digital Representation for the Copper Life Cycle
It is demonstrated how data from different stages in the life cycle of a copper product can be stored in an ontology‐based data space. In order to showcase the methods and tools used in the project, four use cases are presented that show how data from different sources can be semantically described and queried from a shared data space.

Amplify-and-Forward Full-Duplex Relay with Power Splitting-Based SWIPT [PDF]
This paper proposes a virtual harvest-transmit model and a harvest-transmit-store model for amplify-and-forward full-duplex relay (FDR) networks with power splitting-based simultaneous wireless information and power transfer. The relay node employs a battery group consisting of two rechargeable batteries. By switching periodically between two batteries

Combining supercritical CO2 (s‐CO2) cycles with particle‐based heat transfer media holds great potential in concentrated solar power plants but poses enormous material challenges. The particle/s‐CO2 heat exchanger must withstand extreme conditions, including high temperatures, pressures, CO2 corrosion, and erosion.
