Energy Input Interaction in US Output
This paper estimates production functions for annual US output from 1949 to 2013 adding energy Btu input to fixed capital assets and the labor force. Interactions between inputs are parsimoniously introduced in the error correction estimates. Fixed capital assets successfully imbed technology.

Simulation of Energy Input to Solar Panels [PDF]
The article reviews the assessment methods of energy supplied to the surface of solar panels. The need of increase in accuracy of calculation of the solar energy entering on the panel is proved due to the accounting of additional influencing factors. A technique for estimating solar energy to the surface of panels is developed. The degree of cloudiness

Exploiting Input Variations for Energy Reduction [PDF]
The deep submicron semiconductor technologies will make the worst-case design impossible, since they can not provide design margins that it requires. Research directions should go to typical-case design methodologies, where designers are focusing on typical cases rather than worrying about very rare worst cases.

Connecting Energy Input With Ionospheric Upflow and Outflow
AbstractThe connection between energy inputs and the generation of ion upflows and outflows is a topic of keen scientific interest and the subject of a number of empirical studies. Despite this interest, it remains uncertain how different ion species respond to energy input, what defines the upper and lower bounds of the ion flux, and what role solar ...

Energy-Related Input Demand by Crop Producers [PDF]
Energy use in U.S. production of food and fiber is extensive and has increased rapidly. A threefold increase occurred from 1940 to 1970 (Carter and Yonde). Food and fiber production accounted for about 13 percent of the total energy consumed in the U.S. in 1980 (Duncan and Webb).

The mevalonate coordinates energy input and cell proliferation [PDF]
AbstractThe mevalonate pathway is known for the synthesis of cholesterol, but recent studies have reported that it also controls Hippo signaling, which is critical for the regulation of organ size and tumorigenesis. Here, we discover that the suppression of the mevalonate pathway inhibits the growth and proliferation of colon cancer cell lines.

An analysis of energy use, input costs and relation between energy inputs and yield of apple orchard [PDF]
This study examines the energy balance between the input and the output per hectare for an apple orchard in the West Azarbaijan province in Iran (2008-2009). Data were collected by using random sampling method for 80 "face to face" questioners. Results showed that the highest share of energy consumption belongs to packaging (57%) and irrigation (16 ...
