A Numerical Approach for the Solution of Schrödinger Equation With Pseudo-Gaussian Potentials

open access: yesAnnals of West University of Timisoara: Physics, 2015
The Schrödinger equation with pseudo-Gaussian potential is investigated. The pseudo-Gaussian potential can be written as an infinite power series. Technically, by an ansatz to the wave-functions, exact solutions can be found by analytic approach [12 ...

pH‐mediated activation of the lysosomal arginine sensor SLC38A9

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Cells monitor nutrient levels via the lysosomal transporter SLC38A9 to activate the mechanistic target of rapamycin complex 1 (mTORC1). This study reveals that SLC38A9 function is regulated by pH. We identified histidine 544 as a critical pH sensor that undergoes conformational changes to control amino acid efflux from lysosomes; therefore, it ...

Biophysical approaches for studying viral entry

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Viruses infect all living organisms and have been responsible for major epidemics and pandemics. Their ongoing evolutionary battle with host defenses creates a constant need for improved tools to study viral behavior. Advancing methods to probe viral attachment, fusion, and genome release deepen our understanding of how infections begin and support the

Multi-Configuration Dirac–Hartree–Fock Calculations of Pr9+ and Nd10+: Configuration Resolution and Probing Fine-Structure Constant Variation

open access: yesAtoms
We present high-precision multi-configuration Dirac–Hartree–Fock (MCDHF) calculations for the metastable states of Pr9+ and Nd10+ ions, systematically investigating their energy levels, transition properties, Landé gJ factors, and hyperfine interaction ...

A structure calculation for hydrogen like nobelium

open access: yesSakarya Üniversitesi Fen Bilimleri Enstitüsü Dergisi, 2018
The hydrogenlike ion is the simplest structure of an atom, so the studying on it gives achange to test of methods using for determinating of atomic structures. It isalso an occasion the studying on hydrogen like ions to understand atomicstructure.

The human gut microbiome across the life course

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Despite significant individual variation and continuous change throughout life, the human gut microbiome follows some life stage‐specific trends. This article provides a brief overview of how gut microbiome composition shifts across different phases of life. Created in BioRender. Özkurt, E. (2026) https://BioRender.com/8q4nrnc.

Spectrum of Sn5+ in the Region 500–1300 Å

open access: yesAtoms, 2017
The spectrum of tin, excited in a vacuum spark, was recorded in the region 500–1131 Å on a 6.65-m normal incidence spectrograph. The transitions between 4d85s, 4d86s, 4d85p and 4d85d excited configurations in Sn VI were studied.

Degradation mechanism of the von Willebrand factor A2 domain by nattokinase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Nattokinase, a natto‐derived protease, exhibits potent antithrombotic effects. This study demonstrates that nattokinase directly cleaves the von Willebrand factor (vWF) A2 domain in vitro. Unlike the native regulator ADAMTS13, nattokinase degrades folded vWF independently of shear stress.

The ubiquitin‐proteasome system and autophagy as guardians of the cellular proteome

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This Perspective covers the three principles governing the crosstalk between the ubiquitin‐proteasome system and autophagy in cellular proteostasis: (1) a shared ubiquitin code routing substrates via shuttle factors or autophagy receptors; (2) spatial compartmentalization into phase‐separated degradation hubs and organelle‐specific modules (exemplified
