An energy recondensation method using the discrete generalized multigroup energy expansion theory [PDF]

open access: yesAnnals of Nuclear Energy, 2011
Abstract In this paper, the discrete generalized multigroup (DGM) method was used to recondense the coarse group cross-sections using the core level solution, thus providing a correction for neighboring effect found at the core level. This approach was tested using a discrete ordinates implementation in both 1-D and 2-D.

Joint User Grouping, Scheduling, and Precoding for Multicast Energy Efficiency in Multigroup Multicast Systems [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications, 2020
This paper studies the joint design of user grouping, scheduling (or admission control) and precoding to optimize energy efficiency (EE) for multigroup multicast scenarios in single-cell multiuser MISO downlink channels. Noticing that the existing definition of EE fails to account for group sizes, a new metric called multicast energy efficiency (MEE ...

A numerical model for multigroup radiation hydrodynamics

open access: yesJournal of Quantitative Spectroscopy and Radiative Transfer, 2011
We present in this paper a multigroup model for radiation hydrodynamics to account for variations of the gas opacity as a function of frequency. The entropy closure model (M1) is applied to multigroup radiation transfer in a radiation hydrodynamics code.

Myeloid p38 activation maintains macrophage–liver crosstalk and BAT thermogenesis through IL‐12–FGF21 axis

open access: yesHepatology, EarlyView., 2022
Physiological activation of myeloid p38 controls macrophage IL‐12 production and crosstalk to the liver by modulating hepatic FGF21, and subsequently, brown adipose tissue thermogenesis during obesity Abstract Obesity features excessive fat accumulation in several body tissues and induces a state of chronic low‐grade inflammation that contributes to ...

Preservation of kinetics parameters generated by Monte Carlo calculations in two-step deterministic calculations

open access: yesEPJ Nuclear Sciences & Technologies, 2023
The generation of accurate kinetic parameters such as mean generation time Λ and effective delayed neutron fraction βeff via Monte Carlo codes is established. Employing these in downstream deterministic codes warrants another step to ensure no additional

Intelligent Reflecting Surface Aided Multigroup Multicast MISO Communication Systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
Intelligent reflecting surface (IRS) has recently been envisioned to offer unprecedented massive multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO)-like gains by deploying large-scale and low-cost passive reflection elements. By adjusting the reflection coefficients,

Downlink Analysis for the D2D Underlaid Multigroup Multicast Cell-Free Massive MIMO With Low-Resolution ADCs/DACs

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2022
To fully utilize the scarce spectrum resources, the downlink device-to-device (D2D) underlaid multigroup multicast cell-free massive multi-input multi-output (MIMO) systems is proposed, where the geographically distributed access points (APs) serving ...

Calculation of radiation in shockwave layer of a space vehicle taking into account details of photon spectrum [PDF]

open access: yesКомпьютерные исследования и моделирование, 2017
Calculations of radiation transport in the shockwave layer of a descent space vehicle cause essential difficulties due to complex multi-resonance dependence of the absorption macroscopic cross sections from the photon energy.
