Energy and output dynamics in Bangladesh

Energy Economics, 2011
The relationship between energy consumption and output is still ambiguous in the existing literature. The economy of Bangladesh, having spectacular output growth and rising energy demand as well as energy efficiency in recent decades, can be an ideal case for examining energy-output dynamics. We find that while fluctuations in energy consumption do not

TRENDS AND PROJECTIONS IN SOVIET ENERGY OUTPUT

Proceedings of Annual Meeting of the American Institute of Mining, Metallurgical, and Petroleum Engineers, 1961
1961 SPE Annual Meeting, Dallas, October 8–11, 1961 Over the past four years, much authentic information on energy resources, technology, output and utilization in the Soviet Union has become available. The major sources have been technical Journals such as Ugol' (Coal), Neftvanove khoz Vavstvo (Petroleum Economics), and Torfvanava ...

Output regulation with bounded energy

IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, 1973
The problem of zeroing the output y = Cx of the system \dot{x} = Ax + Bu by control of the form u = Fx under a constraint of the type \int\min{0}\max{\infty} u'(t)Ru(t) dt is solved. The result is used to furnish necessary and sufficient conditions for solvability of the infinite-time optimal linear regulator problem.

Output-Capital and Investment-Output Ratios in the Fuel-Energy Complex

Problems in Economics, 1979
At the November (1978) Plenum of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, L. I. Brezhnev noted that all work on the new five-year plan must be based on a search for the most effective and economical ways of attaining the final results of production.

Energy Output and work Stress in Coastal Fishing

Scandinavian Journal of Clinical and Laboratory Investigation, 1973
Energy expenditure in 14 fishermen engaged in fishing was determined by direct measurement of oxygen uptake and by indirect assessment based on continuous recording of the heart rate. Urinary excretion of catecholamines was assayed as an index of stress response.

Output and Energy: An International Analysis

The Energy Journal, 1989
This paper analyzes the relationship between GNP per capita and energy consumption per capita for 43 market economies during the years 1978, 1979, and 1980. Several functional forms are analyzed. Specification tests establish that a double logarithmic equation is preferable to all others.

Amrinone and Energy Output of Rabbit Papillary Muscles

Journal of Cardiovascular Pharmacology, 1985
We studied the effects of amrinone (300 micrograms X ml-1) on the mechanical and energetic outputs of nonfailing rabbit papillary muscles at 27 degrees C using a myothermic technique. Amrinone was found to markedly stimulate the basal (i.e., nonbeating) metabolism.

Power Output and Energy Yield

2000
The assessment of the performance of a wind turbine is frequently a cause of heated discussion. As is the case with all systems which utilise solar energy, the parameters borrowed from conventional energy technology are only applicable to a limited extent.

Estimating energy outputs of fuels

Journal of Chemical Education, 1983
Which is the best fuel in terms of heat energy output: coal, natural gas, fuel oil, hydrogen, or alcohol? It is possible to obtain a semi quantitative estimate of the heat generated by combustion of a fuel from the balanced chemical equation alone.

Applications of Input-Output Analysis to Energy Problems

Science, 1974
A brief outline of the U. S. input- output system and data base is given. An input-output table gives a detailed picture of the flow of goods and services that individual industries buy from and sell to each other in a particular year. The system was used in estimating the impact of 1973- 1974 petroleum shortages on output, employment, and prices.
