Energy partition in low energy fission

open access: yesPhysical Review C, 2011
The intrinsic excitation energy of fission fragments is dynamically evaluated in terms of the time dependent pairing equations. These equations are corroborated with two conditions. One of them fixes the number of particles and the another separates the pairing active spaces associated to the two fragments in the vicinity of the scission configuration.

On the best partitioning of the density functional energy [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Molecular Modeling, 2018
This essay discusses special features for two different ways of partitioning the density functional energy expression. The contribution, which is part of the special issue for Pratim Chattaraj, was stimulated by a thought-provoking suggestion by him at a recent conference.

Experimental Study on Electricity Defrosting of Air-cooler with Partition Device

open access: yesZhileng xuebao, 2014
During the electricity defrosting of air cooler, some issues would arise, such as that temperature field would be damaged, energy would be lost , the refrigeration load would be increased, so a set of electric isolation device was designed.

A numerical and experimental study on the factors that influence heat partitioning in disc brakes

open access: yes, 2010
YesTo investigate the heat partition on a vehicle disc brake, a small scale test rig with one contact interface was used. This allowed the disc/pad contact temperatures to be measured with fast-response foil thermocouples and a rubbing thermocouple ...

Modular invariance and uniqueness of T T ¯ $$ T\overline{T} $$ deformed CFT

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2019
Any two dimensional quantum field theory that can be consistently defined on a torus is invariant under modular transformations. In this paper we study families of quantum field theories labeled by a dimensionful parameter t, that have the additional ...

Development of Metabolic Partitioning of Energy in Young Calves

open access: yesJournal of Dairy Science, 1995
Modifications in thermal demand and energy partitioning in newborn calves were determined over time via indirect calorimetry. One-week-old calves were fed milk replacer at 70 and 110% of the metabolizable energy requirements for maintenance, at ambient temperatures of 7.5 or 19 degrees C, over two consecutive but separately monitored 7-d balance ...

One-Dimensional Vertex Models Associated with a Class of Yangian Invariant Haldane-Shastry Like Spin Chains

open access: yesSymmetry, Integrability and Geometry: Methods and Applications, 2010
We define a class of Y(sl_{(m|n)}) Yangian invariant Haldane-Shastry (HS) like spin chains, by assuming that their partition functions can be written in a particular form in terms of the super Schur polynomials.
