Bimetallic (NiFe) and Trimetallic (NiFeCr) Nanoalloys from Metal Oxides Using a Microwave Hydrogen Plasma

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Bimetallic (NiFe) and trimetallic (NiFeCr) nanoalloys (NAs) are synthesized using corresponding oxide mixtures using microwave hydrogen plasma within a few milliseconds. The process simultaneously 1) reduces metal oxides to metals; 2) downsizes the particles from micrometers to nanometers; and 3) blends the metals to form NAs.

Energy performance of green façades

RIVISTA DI STUDI SULLA SOSTENIBILITA', 2023
Green façades consist of the application of vegetation on buildings' vertical enve-lope. The integration of vegetation into the building fabric improves not only the aesthetic appearance, but also the energy performance of the building itself. The introduction of green façades mainly aims at a passive thermal control of build-ings' for enhancing ...

ENERGY AUDIT, ENERGY PERFORMANCE AND ENERGY PERFORMANCE CERTIFICATE - WHAT DO WE KNOW ABOUT THEM?

Zeszyty Naukowe Uniwersytetu Zielonogórskiego / Inżynieria Środowiska, 2017
The current state of law regarding the modernization and thermal protection of buildings consists of several regulations. Each of them refers to the energy intensity of buildings, but refers to another document. Three concepts related to energy consumption in a building: Energy Audit, Energy Performance of the building and Energy Performance Certificat

Energy Performance Gap

VDI energie + umwelt

ENERGY: resources and building performance

2018
The use of energy in buildings is a complex problem, but it can be reduced and alleviated by making appropriate decisions. Therefore, architects face a major and responsible task of designing the built environment in such a way that its energy dependence will be reduced to a minimum, while at the same time being able to provide comfortable living ...

Energy–Performance Tunable Logic

IEEE Journal of Solid-State Circuits, 2009
We propose a new logic family that enables the user to tune the transistor's effective threshold voltage after fabrication for higher speed or lower power. This technique along with dynamic voltage scaling allows simultaneous optimization of static and dynamic power based on the application/workload requirements.

European energy performance contracting

Energy Policy, 1988
Abstract Energy performance contracting means the packaging together of both technical aid and the necessary funding for energy cost saving investments by an outside company (outside to the energy user), using the energy cost savings themselves to pay for that investment. This technique first became established in North America in 1980/81, and is now
