Charge exchange contribution to the decay of the ring current, measured by energetic neutral atoms (ENAs) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
In this paper we calculate the contribution of charge exchange to the decay of the ring current. Past works have suggested that charge exchange of ring current protons is primarily responsible for the decay of the ring current during the late recovery ...

An improved vdW-type component mixing-rule applied in CO2-crude system

open access: yesPetroleum Exploration and Development, 2016
A new vdW-type mixing-rule has been proposed considering the interaction among the affecting factors of temperature, pressure and non-hydrocarbon components, through analysis of equation of state and theory of interaction among molecules.

Solubility prediction of CO2 in ionic liquids under subcritical and supercritical carbon dioxide conditions by the adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system

open access: yesCase Studies in Chemical and Environmental Engineering, 2023
In this study, an adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system (ANFIS) was employed to check the solubility of carbon dioxide in 26 different ionic liquids with different ionic structures under subcritical and supercritical carbon dioxide conditions during a ...

Multiphase boundary of C16+ heavy n-alkanes and CO2 systems

open access: yesPetroleum Exploration and Development, 2017
N-eicosane, N-tetracosane, N-octacosane and N-dotriacontane, which are heavy n-alkanes, were selected to form binary systems with CO2. The bubble point pressures of each system were obtained through a series of constant component expansion (CCE ...

Research on Vehicle Braking Energy Recovery System and Energy Recovery Calculation [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the 2016 International Conference on Computational Science and Engineering (ICCSE 2016), 2016
This paper introduces a design of electric storage type energy recovery system through vehicle braking to fulfill energy recovery. Besides, theoretical calculation is conducted on the saving rate. Experimental results show that th is system can be used in vehicle energy recovery after braking, and the fuel saving rate can be accounted for 23.49%.

Thermodynamic analysis of a novel fossil-fuel–free energy storage system with a trans-critical carbon dioxide cycle and heat pump [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
This paper presents and analyzes a novel fossil-fuel–free trans-critical energy storage system that uses CO2 as the working fluid in a closed loop shuttled between two saline aquifers or caverns at different depths: one a low-pressure reservoir and the ...
