Influence of the energy regeneration unit on pressure characteristics for a proportional relief valve

Proceedings of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Part I: Journal of Systems and Control Engineering, 2017
Overflow loss through the relief valves is universal in hydraulic systems. To explore the feasibility to regenerate the overflow loss, an energy regeneration unit is connected to the outlet of the proportional pilot relief valve which can reduce the pressure difference and the overflow loss accordingly.

"Integrated pyrolisis regenerated plant rotary kiln pyrolyzer and microturbine energy conversion from biomass a 70 kW demonstration unit in central Italy"

2004
Turning biomass into energy is addressed as one of the key issues for reaching sustainability and to meet the ambitious goals of the kyoto protocol. Microscale biomass conversion shows different benefits, when compared to centralised production, nevertheless there are no available technologies for biomass conversion on the microscale.
