Oxygen‐Tunnel Indium Tin Oxide Vertical Channel Transistors with Enhanced Current Density and Reliability for Monolithic 3D Compute‐In‐Memory Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Oxygen‐tunnel (OT) indium tin oxide (ITO) vertical channel transistors (VCTs) enable reliable, high‐density gain‐cell memory for monolithic 3D integration. A sandwiched SiN/SiO2/SiN OT stack selectively regulates oxygen transport, suppressing parasitic electrode oxidation while stabilizing channel oxygen vacancies, thereby suppressing carrier injection

Receptor‐Free Identification of Toxic Gases Enabled by Hygroscopic Aqueous Salt Films

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Water as a gas sensor coating sounds impossible—until it stops evaporating. Here, hygroscopic salt solutions (LiCl, LiBr, H3PO4) form non‐drying aqueous films on CNT chemiresistors under ambient air. Gases partition into these liquid layers, sometimes transforming into water, and generate salt‐specific resistance fingerprints across a four‐channel ...

Transactive energy trading of residential prosumers using battery energy storage systems

open access: yes, 2019
© 2019 IEEE. In a transactive energy (TE) framework, prosumers can participate in peer-to-peer (P2P) energy trading with neighbors. TE also allows prosumers to participate in grid services by trading their excess energy or energy consumption flexibility ...

Essays on renewable energies, energy storages and energy trading

open access: yes, 2020
Electric energy is a fundamental need in modern society. This need can only be met if the energy production is always equal to the energy demand. If the electricity grid suffers from overproduction or underproduction, this can lead to regional or even countrywide blackouts.
